Have your say on culturally safe residential care in Queensland

PeakCare is inviting Queensland residential care providers and carers of First Nations children to provide feedback on inclusion, representation, and culturally safe modes of knowledge as part of the modernisation of the Hope & Healing Framework.

PeakCare's Catalyst for Care program is supporting the Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety (DFSDSCS) to address key opportunities for Queensland’s residential care workforce. This includes modernising the mandatory Hope and Healing training for residential care workers in Queensland.

This is more than just a standard update, it’s an opportunity to elevate the standard of care, to inspire those working in the field, and to create better outcomes for every child and young person, including First Nations children, in residential care. We want to hear from you on what real inclusion, representation, connection to country and culture means, how it looks, and how best we can work together towards safety.
