Do you work with multicultural women who are pregnant or have had a baby in the last 12 months?
In collaboration with the Ishar Multicultural Women’s Health Services, Early Years Partnership Armadale West, invite you to a professional development workshop on:
Culturally Safe Perinatal Mental Health
Learn more about supporting the mental health of women and babies and overcoming cultural barriers.
The workshop will cover:
- Cultural beliefs around pregnancy, childbirth, infant care and child rearing, for example confinement, special foods/diets and traditions
- Impacts of migration, isolation and trauma on parental mental health
- Considerations around the stigma of mental health
- Barriers and opportunities for connections.
When: Monday 2nd December 2024 10:00am - 12:00pm
Where: Makuru meeting room, Champion Centre, 76 Champion Drive, Armadale. Free parking is available at Champion Centre, or next door at the shopping centre.
Free registration and lunch will be provided.
