As part of our 2022 program, intertwine is creating a Community of Practice for senior intersectionality advisers and others with responsibility for developing or implementing intersectionality strategies across organisations.

This is a unique opportunity for practitioners, campaigners and policy advisers to connect, collaborate and galvanise their practice and expertise. Participants will be drawn from a variety of sectors, including primary prevention, health organisations, local government and other not-for-profits working at the intersections of social justice.

The Community of Practice will be co-facilitated by grassroots changemaker Jill Faulkner and longtime intersectional activist Rosanne Bersten. They will draw on the expertise and experience of participants in a peer-led approach to share practice and policy challenges and unpack opportunities for collaboration.

Sessions will be held on the first Friday on each month from 11.00am Australian Eastern Time to 1.00pm Australian Eastern Time, commencing in February 2022.

We have established topics for the first six sessions:

Feb 4: Building Intersectional Coalitions
March 4: Centring Lived Experience
April 1: Accountability & Repair
May 6: Dealing with Backlash
June 3: Gaps in the Evidence Base
July 1: Biting the Hand that Feeds Us

Note that the dates on the tickets are the correct dates but the date on the event is for the whole year.
