Event description

St Hilda’s is proud to partner with The Lester Prize to present a rare opportunity to delve into the world of emerging talent in Western Australia’s visual arts sector.

Special guest and Old Scholar Kate Parker will share her knowledge on how to identify emerging talent and what we can all do to nurture the pipeline of artists in Australia. As a Director at Element, she is an expert in the field of public art strategy and founder of her own passion project, Temp, a Perth-based no fixed address gallery, presenting exhibitions in temporary tenancies.

Russell Lester from The Lester Prize will also join us to share the Lester family’s reasons for supporting the arts and the value of creating opportunities to be shown and celebrated. Several works from the collection will be on display.

St Hilda’s Visual Arts program includes partnerships with organisations such as The Lester Prize as well as supporting local artists to show their works. Its current ‘Artist on Show’, Judy Rogers will also be available to give a guided tour of her exhibition in Senior School reception.

Please join us for a fascinating evening of art, canapes and fine wine.

Warm regards
