Event description

Discover the work of the Australian Federal Police (AFP) in the ACT, Australia-wide and globally with AFP Museum curator, Chris Cranston. Over 50 AFP community members and their families contributed to the 40th Anniversary Quilts project in 2019, reflecting on the question, ‘what does the AFP mean to you?’ Appliquéd into four quilts, each of the blocks provides an insight into the personal stories – the pride and grief – in addition to the skills and experiences, of AFP members. In addition to the quilts, Chris will highlight the AFP Museum’s collection reflecting the incredibly wide-ranging tasks, skills and achievements of the organisation, from school visits with Constable Kenny to peacekeeping in the Pacific.
