Description

Curawaka at Trilogy Sanctuary: A Call to the Ocean

One night by the Pacific with a band that sings to the sea.

Curawaka is one of the most captivating acts in the rising world of conscious, cross-cultural music, with a global fanbase and millions of streams built on powerful vocals, traditional instruments, and deep ceremonial rhythms. Formed by artists from Norway, Mexico, and Argentina and led by vocalist and songwriter Anna Bariyani, they bridge ancient indigenous traditions with contemporary world music, and their live show is a transcendent, high-vibe journey that unites hearts across cultures, languages, and borders. Their breakthrough album Call of the Wild gave the world anthems like Noku Mana, Te Nande, and He Yama Yo; Dreamtime deepened the palette; and their newest release, Olokun, calls upon the sacred feminine forces of the sea to bring healing and balance.

And on October 17th, they bring those songs to a sanctuary perched above the Pacific in La Jolla. A band that sings to the ocean, in a coastal sanctuary built for ceremony, as the sun goes down over the water. It is rare for an artist's intention and a room's spirit to meet this completely.

Before the Show: The Rooftop

Come early, or slip upstairs during the opener, and begin the night on our rooftop as the sun lowers over the sea. This is where you'll find our plant-based cafe and elixir bar, food and drink crafted in the same spirit as the music you're about to hear: clean, intentional nourishment for mind, body, and spirit, made to ground you and open you. The meal is not a side note to the evening. It is part of the ceremony, the same healing intention Curawaka carries in sound, offered here on the plate and in the glass.

The Concert, October 17 @ 7pm

Then, at 7pm, descend into the Earth Room, an intimate, grounded space made for exactly this kind of gathering. Powerful voices, ancient rhythms, a room of strangers who leave feeling like something more. This is the full energy of Trilogy in one night, uplifting, transcendent, and deeply human.

The Workshop, October 18 @ 4pm

Interactive Medicine Music Workshop with Curawaka

How does music become medicine, and how do we learn to create it for ourselves? For one afternoon, the four musicians of Curawaka open their signature practice and teach it.

This is intimate and hands-on. Anna Bariyani, Tavo Vazquez, Alberto Arroyo and Dario Santamaria Romero each share the gift of their instrument and tradition, guiding the room through breath, rhythm, and melody. Together, we explore the music’s cultural roots and the art of authenticity, spontaneity, and the simple joy of play. It closes the way these gatherings always do: in a singing circle and open jam where everyone takes part.

Workshop Activities May Include:

  • Guided Breathing Exercises

  • Lessons on Rhythm and Melody

  • Theoretical Discourse

  • Cultural context and the importance of connection to places and traditions

No experience is needed. Beginners and lifelong musicians are equally welcome. Bring an instrument if you have one; if you do not, your voice is instrument enough.

We gather in the Earth Room, seated close in a circle, held by the quiet of a sanctuary by the sea. Afterward, stay for dinner in the cafe, where workshop guests receive a special discount, and let the afternoon settle over plant-based nourishment and ocean air. To get the most out of this experience, come witness Curawaka’s live performance the day before. Receive their musical transmission, fill up on inspiration, and return the next day to embody it for yourself. The workshop is limited to 40 music medicine makers and will sell out fast- claim your spot today.
