Curtains Drawn
Event description
Curtains Drawn, aka Clara Collins, is a Glasgow-based multi-disciplinary artist whose work often reflects the shared human experience. She is known for her vulva art, which denotes divinity and diversity.
This workshop is for anyone in the Glasgow community to come together to learn about vulvas through relaxed discussion and creative expression using various mediums. Through this workshop we aim to promote body-positivity and community building, and to demystify anatomy. Group discussions will culminate in a creative session, where Clara will walk through her artistic process. Participants will spend some time sketching vulvas in a life-drawing format, drawing from images that have been provided by The Labia Library - Photographs are taken from the book I’ll Show You Mine by photographer Katie Huisman. There will be time to play with different mediums and to add colour and style if you please.
Come along, and enjoy an evening of making and open discussion with like-minded people!
