CUT THROAT CONVERSATIONS IS BACK FOR 2024!

Theatrical celebrity interviews, stunning Hub Cap art exhibition, eclectic music line-up, live street-art creations and more, CUT THROAT CONVERSATIONS 2024 is an inclusive regional event not to be missed!

Cut Throat Conversations is set in a barbershop where our guests arrive for a haircut, but end up in deep conversation with Cut Throat Joe Iaria: professional listener, amateur psychotherapist, experienced counsellor... oh, and he’s a barber too!

Danielle Laidley: Transgender advocate, public speaker, inaugural West Coast Eagle, North Melbourne Premiership Winner and AFL coach, author and public speaker Danielle Laidley is coming to Geraldton for CUT THROAT CONVERSATIONS!

Brenten Wellington: Transformative Growth Institute Founder and Geraldton local, Brenten is a passionate speaker, youth leader, and entrepreneur.

Danny Shannon: By age 15, Danny had developed a full-blown drug and alcohol addiction. Spending his 18th birthday in Parramatta prison, escaping from Silverwater prison in 2001, Danny has since turned his life around and is now over 15 years clean, travelling all the way from Sydney just for this event, to spread his message of Recovery and Beyond!

Live Art:  Watch Geraldton street artist Shah Jackey paint it as he sees it, live!  

Celtic Music Duo: Rob Zielinski & Manuela Centanni, fresh from the launch of Rob’s new album The Torbay Suite.

Hub Cap Art Studio Exhibition & Silent Auction: Wander through the beautiful minds of our Hub Cap artists as they appear on canvas and mixed media, curated by our one and only art tutor, Kerrie Elliott. 

Visual Vitamins: Marvel at the interactions between art, light, and air created by artist Ralf Mulks.

Food by Soul Food Café: Back by popular demand! Gluten-free and vegetarian options available.  

Cut Throat Conversations is an alcohol-free event, support by LDAG, Local Drug and Action Group.

Hub Cap Geraldton helps ex-prisoners, rough-sleepers, low-literacy and other marginalised men with weekly music jams and sing-alongs, a free art studio and art tutor, and free, one-on-one literacy tuition. Hub Cap is situated within the Men’s Hub, part of Centacare Family Services.
