He has lived and toured across Australia, the UK, Europe, and the U.S.A. He has independently released 3 critically acclaimed original full length albums, King Hokum, Jungle Blues, and Gon’ Boogaloo. He’s performed extensively internationally with various backing band lineups and as a solo performer, the instrumentation of his musical groups and recordings mirror the stylistic inspirations of his songwriting, New Orleans style brass and drums, Traditional African, Caribbean style percussion, early 20th century blues, jazz, and American folk styled guitar and banjo, gospel inspired electric guitar and background singing. C.W. Stoneking’s music and lyrics draw inspiration from a wide spectrum of musical styles and traditions which he combines to create his own unique sound.

Local support Narrownecks are an old-time string band, with fast driving fiddle and banjo melodies, and intricate, delicate finger-style guitar and vocal harmonies. David Hoffmann is a second-generation old time fiddler, singer and guitarist from the USA. He grew up surrounded by traditional Appalachian music, attending square dances, and playing in family jam sessions. Harry O'Donovan has studied clawhammer, two and three-finger banjo, fiddle and finger-style guitar with some of the best folk musicians in the USA and Australia. He brings an old-world sensibility and a knowledge of eastern and western folk traditions from the past two centuries. David and Harry are Narrownecks, and together they make old music in dramatic and inspired new ways, combining classical training and an upbringing in the Appalachian old-time folk scene to deliver a unique and intimate acoustic performance which will have you alternating between a desire to listen to every detail, and get out of your seat to dance.
