Cyber Security:

Join us for an insightful workshop where King Tan will be sharing vital information about how to protect yourself from scams and enhance your cyber security awareness. In this session, he will cover the different types of scams prevalent today, how to spot potential red flags, and practical tips to safeguard your personal and financial information online. Whether you’re concerned about phishing attempts, investment scams, or digital security, this workshop will provide the knowledge and tools to stay protected in an increasingly digital world. About the speaker:

King Tan was born in Kedah, a northern state of Malaysia, and emigrated to Perth in 2005. He graduated from Curtin University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in both Accounting and Financial Planning. With extensive experience in the Financial Services industry, King has worked in Financial Planning and Private Banking for over 15 years. Since 2011, he has been with one of Australia’s Big Four banks, where, in his current role as a Private Banker, he manages the financial needs of high-net-worth family groups.

Introduction to Painting with Primary Colours:

Discover the magic of the three primary colours and how they can be transformed into an endless palette. In this introductory workshop, participants will learn the basics of colour mixing and explore how to use acrylic paints to create their own vibrant artwork. Perfect for kids and beginners, this class offers a hands-on approach to building essential artistic skills.

About the facilitator: 

Sarah Zhao is a passionate and experienced artist dedicated to helping students discover their unique strengths in the world of art. Having graduated from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1987, she has well over 34 years of teaching experiences in Chinese paint, pencil sketch and colour painting. Sarah has hones a deep understanding of artistic expression and technique. Her approach combines technical skill with encouragement, fostering a supportive environment for student to explore their own artistic voices.

Note: Workshops are approximately 70 mins in duration and light refreshments will be served at the end.
