ABOUT AUSTRALIAN CYBER WEEK 2021
Who is it for?
Cyber Week provides opportunities for Australian cyber security and related organisations to showcase their capabilities and network with peers, potential investors and customers. It also provides a great way for cyber curious individuals and organisations to better understand what cyber security can do and mean for them. Events and activities span the full breadth of the cyber security landscape – for those within the sector, but also well beyond.
Our virtual platform
3D Circuit Board city is unique. Our platform aims to create a ‘cyber festival’ where you can ‘zoom into the internet of things’ to access the following:
- Auditorium - the home of our on-demand events! Click on a poster to watch an event recording.
- Exhibition hall - browse 3D booths, engage with company representatives and collect useful resources by adding them to your showbag.
- Networking and community hub - connect with other attendees of Cyber Week via the public directory to start a conversation. Note: Unfortunately, there are no live networking events post-Cyber Week as part of on-demand ticketing.
- Event schedule - view all events to choose which ones to watch!
- Knowledge library - everything you need to know about cyber security in a single place!
- Perks and deals - browse the range of exclusive offers and engage with Australian cyber security companies to help you with your cyber security needs.

Suggested events you may wish to watch on-demand
- ‘Under siege: Are we ready for a cyber attack on Australia’s hospital system? (hypothetical)’ - we stepped through all the facets of a hypothetical cyber-attack on a hospital – the impacts on and responses of the government, crucial parts of our society and how it could impact us all.
- ‘Dragon’s den - you be the judge’ - Australia is rapidly building an innovative, globally competitive cyber security sector. To showcase the companies leading the charge, ten of our most innovative companies delivered a three-minute pitch, with expert judges offering feedback. Each audience member received CR$100,000 (fake ‘Cyber roo dollars’) to invest into their favourite companies, with the winning pitch crowned ‘Australian Cyber Week 2021 Pitch Day Champion’.
- ‘Upskilling and micro-credentialing a remote workforce’ - this event featured guests with diverse careers as we explored the available options and challenges of managing a remote and/or distributed workforce, while also embedding upskilling and micro-credentialing.
- ‘Butchers, bakers and USB stick makers – why Australia's new Critical Infrastructure Bill affects everyone’ - we were joined by guest speakers from across the cyber security and critical infrastructure sectors to discuss the proposed reforms and what they mean for businesses large, medium and small.
- ‘Official launch of Australian Cyber Week 2021’ - we looked back at the last 12 months of unprecedented cyber activity and its impact on the Australian and global economy.
