Cyber123 WEBINAR 1 - Introduction to Cyber Security for your Business

The Sydney Startup Hub  invites you to Cyber123 Workshops. These workshops will help you to take the necessary steps to improve the cyber resilience of your business. Workshop 1 is an introduction to cyber security for those with no previous experience. Workshop 2 will provide a deeper dive into the steps you need to take to secure your business from cyber risks. You can choose the workshop most suited to you!

These workshops are complimentary for all NSW-based startups, scale-ups, and small businesses. They will be jam-packed with tools, guides, and practical insights to help you develop a plan that is tailored to protect your business from cyber-attacks. 

This workshop will be delivered online for founders and small business owners who are unable to attend in person!

WEBINAR 1: Introduction to Cyber Security for your Business

As an owner of a business, you play a big part in the Australian economy. As you have worked hard to grow your business, you probably have increased your connection with the digital world. However, with this connection comes exposure to cyber-attacks.

Did you know that the Australian Cyber Security Centre reports that 62% of SMEs have experienced a cyber security incident? Once attacked, the average business owner then considers it ‘likely’ or ‘almost certain’ to happen again in the future.

Tackling cyber security issues presents a threefold challenge: it’s expensive, it’s complex, and it requires expertise.

 This one-hour workshop will cover:

• How to assess and address your cyber risk

Learning Outcomes

This workshop will include relevant practical examples and there will be time for questions and discussion at the end. Participants will receive the Cyber123 Canvas and Guidebook, as well as a login to the online course material.
