Cycling Tour with Pedal Set Go

Event description

Discover the Inner West on a Slow Bike Tour

Join us for a leisurely guided bike ride exploring the Inner West, beginning and ending at the Inner West Sustainability Hub. This relaxed ride is perfect for all levels, offering a smooth and enjoyable way to explore your local area.

You'll have the chance to brush up on your knowledge of road rules, bike safety, and how to find the best routes under the direction of the welcoming and knowledgeable team at Pedal Set Go. Along the way, we’ll take unhurried breaks at points of environmental interest, including a nearby protected urban ecology site and the magnificent Aboriginal Survival Memorial in Yeo Park, Ashfield. Here, you’ll experience "Breathe," a powerful artwork by artists Nicole Monks and Maddison Gibbs, celebrating the resilience and survival of First Nations peoples.

This ride isn’t just about getting from A to B; it’s about enjoying the journey, discovering hidden gems in your community, and experiencing the freedom of moving at your own pace. Whether you're a seasoned rider or just getting started, you'll find this tour both enriching and empowering.

The tour will stop at some points of environmental interest along the way, including a nearby protected urban ecology site, and an Aboriginal Memorial installation.

Priority will be given to Inner West residents. Search by address at the Office of Local Government website to find your local government area.

If you are not from the Inner West local government area please email education@greenlivingcentre.org.au to be put on a waitlist.

This workshop is presented by the Green Living Centre, an initiative of Inner West Council. If you have any questions email: education@greenlivingcentre.org.au or phone 0466 428 063 or 0481 477 917.
