Preparing your application
To assist the IWC community to navigate the Development Application process.
Whether you are proposing a development or are a neighbour to one, Council is holding free community information sessions. These will be held on a monthly basis with alternating months for seminars focusing on the process from an Applicant’s perspective to a neighbour’s perspective.
We know everyone is busy, so these sessions will be held on-line during lunch time. It is an opportunity for you to hear and ask questions about the process.

- Step by step guide of the DA Process
- What is important to know before you start designing your proposal
- How to minimise issues for your DA
Please note, you must be a resident or a business within the Inner West Local Government area.
Council officers are unable to discuss specific applications or proposals during these sessions. Should you need further information, please seek such as follows:
- Neighbours seeking information on a particular application – contact the Responsible Officer directly
- Residents or businesses seeking advice on a particular site or proposal – it is recommended that you lodge a Pre-DA Application
