WORKSHOP TWO OVERVIEW
DESIGNING FOR GENDER JUSTICE WEBINAR

With Sarah Elsie Baker

This workshop will introduce the topic of gender inequality in design and offer practical strategies for designers to make a change.

We will begin by exploring how gender inequality is reproduced through design products and in the workplace.
We will consider how the specific history of professional design practice has led to particular designers, approaches, and aesthetics being valued over others.
You will reflect on your own experiences of gender in design (as well as any blind spots you might have) and leave with actionable tools to foster incremental change.

    Who is this workshop for?

If you are a designer (or someone who works with designers) who has an interest in making the world a fairer place, then this workshop is for you. All genders and levels of expertise welcome. An openness to reflect on your own background and experience is essential.
