Braids + Beers is a practical, hands-on session for dads, stepdads and father figures who want to feel more confident helping with the everyday hair routine.
You’ll practise step by step on a mannequin head, enjoy a drink and leave with simple skills you can use at home.
No previous experience is needed, you do not need to bring your child, and most dads come on their own.
This isn’t a lecture or formal parenting session. It’s a relaxed small-group event built around learning something useful, having a laugh and connecting with other dads.
Previous Braids + Beers events have sold out across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, with dads leaving more confident than when they arrived.
Who is this for
Braids + Beers is for dads, stepdads and father figures who want to learn practical hair skills in a relaxed, beginner-friendly environment.
You do not need to know how to braid, and you do not need to have a daughter. Any dad who wants to feel more capable helping with their child’s hair is welcome.
