    Event description

Dad Chats is a 6 session program to explore the many parts of being a Dad, and the many ways being a Dad can look. The program covers (in every session) topics around communication, boundary setting, and self-discovery/exploration. It is run by two experienced facilitators, however the greatest learning comes from the interactions between the dads themselves.

Dad Chats starts with a general session thinking about our own experience of fathers, and then through future sessions begins looking at the many ways a Dad can be involved in the family; from being a dad with a newborn, through FIFO and work, blended families, foster dads, and parenting from separate homes. Topics also include how to try best to communicate with your partner, and also a whole session on overall family (including your extended family!).

Dads are encouraged to attend this first online information session, and then sign up for either some or all of the following sessions depending on need/area of interest. Each topic will be independent, however you could sign up for all 6 as there will be features from each session that are applicable to everyone.
