Please join us for DADFEST24 - a celebration of you, our kids and our community.

We've got an incredible line up, from gourmet smoked meats from the charcoal barbecue, to craft beer and artisan spirits, to live sports on the big screen. There'll also be plenty of fun and games, with some friendly competition for those who want it.

Everyone's welcome! It's not just for Rainworth Dads, so bring your mates!

Mums / Wives. Girlfriends: This event falls just after Father's Day. Ditch the socks and give the man in your life the gift of an afternoon off with his mates!

Please note that this event is our major fundraising event for the year, as we have made a decision to only host the Rainworth Long Lunch every second year (the next Long Lunch will be in 2025). As such, we would love you all to come along to support this wonderful event and help raise valuable funds for our amazing school.

EVENT DETAILS

Date: Saturday 7th September, 2024

Time: 2:00pm to late

Venue: Rainworth State School Green Space

Dress: Whatever the heck you like. No stiletto heels though. Gotta protect the new green space.

Cost: Tickets are $75 per person (plus a booking fee, which goes to support children's charities). Tickets go on sale on Wed 31st July

Ticket price includes: Entry to the event, an array of gourmet meats, plus entry to the decent prize draw!

Given this is a fundraising event, we like to be transparent as to what the ticket pays for and how much goes to fundraising. You may be surprised at how much it costs to run an event like this and some of the hidden costs you may not be aware of. Some of the fixed costs your ticket will pay for include bar staff, quality food and drinks, equipment hire and catering items, cold rooms, bins, signage, flyers, compliance letters etc. All remaining funds will directly profit the school and the final fundraising amount will be communicated a few weeks after the event once all expenses have been paid.

Note: if it rains, we'll have a plan!

FOOD

We will be serving up a feast Gents! 

There will be a buffet of Brisket, Pulled Pork, Smoked Chicken Nibbles, Cheese Kransky, SBR’s Seasoned Fries, House made Slaw, Dinner Roll, Butter Tub, Soft Taco Tortilla, GF Corn Chips and SBR’s Mac n Cheese & SBR’s Sauce Range

DRINKS

Craft beer and selected wines will be available for purchase as well as a Gin & Whisky Bar!

Please note that there are strictly NO BYO drinks permitted at this event.

ENTERTAINMENT

There will be some competitive, optional games to get the banter flowing, plus music throughout the event via the best playlist you've ever heard. And we promise that there's no dance floor. You'll also have a chance to win some fantastic prizes and bid for some exceptional auction items, all to raise funds for the kids.

LIVE AUCTION

You heard it first; we have 2 incredible auction items for you to bid on. The wonderful Danny has secured us a Signed Brisbane Broncos jersey and a Signed Brisbane Lions Jersey! Both will be actioned off separately and we hope to get some serious bidders to raise extra $$$ for the school!

PURPOSE

This event is a major fundraising event for Rainworth State School and all profits will go towards educational programs at the school.

REFUNDS

Please note that due to the limited time period between sales and the event date we regret that there are no refunds available on tickets for this event. Note that the event will still go ahead if it rains and that adjustments will be made to ensure everyone is warm and dry.
