Travel instructions

The Garden Shop Visitor Centre within the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, is a 10-15 minute walk from St James, Martin Place or Circular Quay railway stations. Metered parking is available on Mrs Macquaries rd, a 5-10 minute walk from the Calyx. Bus number 441 stops at the Woolloomooloo Gates a 5 minute walk to the Visitor Centre.

Entry instructions

Follow signs to the Garden Shop, Palm Grove Centre or Botanic House restaurant. The Visitor Centre is attached to the Garden Shop in the centre of the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney. The closest gates are the Woolloomooloo gate (with accessibility ramp access) or the Henry Lawson Gate (stairs) both on Mrs Macquaries rd. If entering from the Queen Elizabeth II Gate (adjacent to the Opera House) all at least 20 minutes to walk to the Garden Shop Visitor Centre.

Hazards

Uneven surfaces and gentle inclines. The best gate to enter by is the Woolloomooloo Gate on Mrs Macquaries rd. There is a wheelchair entrance via the small access rd to the left hand side (Art Gallery side) of the gate.

Adjacent to the Garden Shop.

Accessible parking

2 spaces at the top of the small access rd adjacent to the Woolloomooloo gate (Art Gallery side) dedicated. All parking spots on Mrs Macquaries rd are free if a disability parking permit is clearly displayed on the dashboard.
