Daisies - film screening
Event description
Drop by next Tuesday evening for a perfect Mardi Gras recovery film.
𝑫𝒂𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒆𝒔 (𝟏𝟗𝟔𝟔) is an absurd, hedonistic, beautiful, silly, chaotic, subversive, feminist classic.
This Czech New Wave film by Věra Chytilová was originally banned in Soviet Czechoslovakia due to its portrayal of two cheeky and indulgent women. This sort of feminine indulgence was considered totally unacceptable under Soviet rule and is exactly what we love about it.
This film is an absolute delight and a real treat for your imagination.
We can’t wait to (re)watch it with you!
