The Dance against Family and Domestic Violence is an epic 3 hour dance-a-thon event, that is going to get you moving to some amazing music, with the help of FIVE amazing Zumba instructors, and a live DJ! The theme for this event is - DISCO FUN!

This one night dance extravaganza will raise funds for the Sarah Ford Foundation's ROSE program. This group exercise program is designed for women who are currently experiencing or who are survivors of family and domestic violence (FDV) to assist their mental health and help them reclaim hope, overcome barriers and strengthen their physical and mental health, so as allow for personal empowerment. The ROSE program (which stands for Reclaim, Overcome, Strengthen and Empower) will be run by Sarah Ford, an accredited exercise professional through AUSactive and a registered Australian Counselling Association Counsellor, in a safe and confidential environment. The Sarah Ford Foundation is being supported in providing this space by the Y, Serpentine Jarrahdale Recreation Centre in Byford.

So you want to dance - but you're concerned about the 3 hours?

No need to worry! Our talented instructors will ensure that they bring the hottest Zumba dance trends to the floor for all abilities and if you want to take a break, there's no worries!

Feel free to bring some light refreshments (no hot food or alcohol please), have a break, a chat, a laugh, and then jump back in when you are ready to get grooving! There will also be a break for games, where you could win prizes - or just watch and cheer on the participants!

We just want you to have a night of fun doing what you can and enjoy doing it! The dress code is bright, sparkly, disco inspired workout gear! That's right, no need to dress up - we are here to boogie in our workout clothes with a hint of disco to make the night sparkle! Whether that's a sequin headband or some disco ball earrings!

Please just ensure that you wear comfortable enclosed shoes and unlike a other nightclubs no heels are allowed due to the flooring. We do also require that you please bring a towel and some water for yours and others comfort and hygiene.

There will be prizes to be won on the night – some of which we will announce as the weeks countdown, but we are very excited to announce that Fantastic Furniture, Cannington, have given us 3 X $100 vouchers to give away as part of our raffle prizes!

We are an EFTPOS free event - so please only bring coins for the raffle.
