About Monique

Monique Nightingale is a West Melbourne–made movement artist, grounded in street dance and shaped by over a decade of local and international training.

Her practice centres freestyle and House, deepened through time spent training in New York City and across Europe.

As co-founder of RAISE THE ROOF (est. 2023), she cultivates space for the local House community to gather, connect and grow — from grassroots jams to a sold-out Melbourne Fringe club night.

Monique is an unapologetic feeling-first artist, guided by authenticity and committed to evolving her artistry. She believes dance should be organic, accessible and shared.
