    Event description

    Dance for Trees - Growth.

A fundraising event for Climate Force, held on the Climate Force home in the Daintree Rainforest.

Friday 6 October, 4.30pm Brisbane, 5.30pm AEDT,  and 7.15pm NZT.

Dance for Trees is a fundraising project for tree planting and forest regeneration in Australia and New Zealand.

We fundraise by dancing together and sharing a Qoya inspired movement class.

Qoya inspired movement is a simple practice based on the idea that as we move we remember.

Qoya draws from the wisdom of yoga, the creativity of dance and the mindful awareness of embodied movement.

There is no way you can get Qoya wrong. It's not what it looks like, it's all about how it feels in your own body.

Everyone is welcome, children, family and friends.

Join us on zoom or in person at ClimateForce 96 Cape Kimberly Rd Kimberly Qld. (First right towards the beach from the ferry).

Or join in person at MFP Derby St Gisborne with Michele.

Or you can donate, get the recording and dance in your own time.

This month we support ClimateForce by dancing together on their land. Tickets are by donation through Humanitix.

We acknowledge the traditional custodians, elders and caretakers of the lands we dance, and hope to contribute to stewardship of the planet with our dancing and fundraising.

We will be gathering and dancing on Kuku Jalanji land in the Daintree.

Thanks to our Dance for Trees collaborators: MFP Gisborne NZ, Rainforest Rescue, WNTPT Tairawhiti and ClimateForce
