Dance Like a Girl - Auckland Women's Centre Fundraiser Gig

The Orchard Collective has always been about bringing together a community that embraces authenticity & celebrates individuality. When everyone connects on that mutual playful wavelength at once, the elevated power of the room becomes a space for childlike bliss. Our goal when you step your dancing shoes into the venue is a fearless expression of oneself - without worry of the intentions of those around you.

In pursuit of spreading this norm, we ought to take some tangible steps to solidify our commitment on a broader social level. It’s easy as six blokes to wobble our bodies around without care, but we know that this simply isn’t always the case for women (though we likely only understand a fraction of this experience). How about we hand over the decks and the mic for a night and share some stories from the other side of the dancefloor along the way?

We’re proud to present “Dance Like a Girl” — an energetic night featuring a lineup of our talented wahine friends armed with beats, basslines, and big energy. All profits will go directly to the Auckland Women’s Centre in support of the “Run Like a Girl” fundraising month.
