Danceland, the Toronto neo-jam band, is revitalizing the Grateful Dead's legacy with fresh experimentation and energy. Led by singer/songwriter/guitarist Joe Ferland and his wife Jale, Danceland has evolved from Cherry Garcia Band, known for their Dead and Jerry Garcia Band covers, into a creative powerhouse with a rich repertoire of original songs.Their debut album, Pink Lem, released in 2022, is a vibrant collection that blends playful tracks like “4:20”—a nod to their cannabis culture—with serious themes reflecting social issues.
