    Dancing Freedom with Caitlin:
An invitation to come together to move through these times with awareness and compassion.

Dance as food, as nourishment, a delicious elixir of connection, a soothing balm for a busy mind, an energising tonic for the spirit, a healing salve for the wounded heart, dance is medicine.

As life continues to shift and change, how can we lean into the medicine of dance to support health & wellbeing on both an individual & collective level?

Welcome home to the practice of Dancing Freedom. Dancing Freedom is a global mindfulness movement supporting liberation, community and leadership through the sacred medicine of dance. Dancing Freedom engages the medicine of movement - free-form, conscious dance and ceremony, taking you on an elemental dance wave through Earth, Water, Fire, Air & Ether.

    About Caitlin Wood:
Caitlin Wood is an artist, creative therapist, conscious movement teacher, DJ & ceremonialist. She loves to support people to come into more loving relationship with their body and to assist individuals and communities in developing strong foundations of connection, kindness, and integrity.

Caitlin has been offering the medicine of dance with the conscious dance practices of Dancing Freedom for 11 years and Open Floor for 5 years, offering movement classes, DJ sets, retreats, workshops and one-on-one sessions in Australia, online and around the world.

Some guidelines for our shared practice, in order to create a beneficial space for everyone:

    * Follow your body & movement, stay curious & see what happens! (You can't do it wrong)

    * Be kind & respectful towards yourself & others in the space.

    * Please speak with your body rather than words, take conversations outside if you need to speak with someone, unless words are needed for safety in the space. Sound is welcome, AND use it wisely.

    * Please don't use mobile phones, and put them on silent, flight mode or off.

    * No street shoes please. Dance shoes or shoes you don't wear outside are ok.

    * Please avoid wearing strong perfumes and deodorants, as some people are allergic to artificial fragrances.

    * Please come with a reasonably clean body & clothing. If you know you sweat a lot while dancing, please bring a towel and a change of clothes with you.

    * Please keep shirts on during the dance.

    * If you can, please stay until the end, and if you need to leave early please do so as quietly as possible.

Please note - this is a drug & alcohol free event.

If you have any questions about these guidelines, or if there is something happening during the dance that is troubling you please come and see Caitlin or one of the crew either during, before or after the class as needed.
