Daniyah Duo (Houston)

Be transported into the world of the classical guitar duo with Daniyah Guitar Duo, prizewinners at the Guitar Foundation of America International Ensemble Competition and rising stars of the international chamber music scene.

Founded in 2022 by Alice Brandão and Maja Kralj at the Haute École de Musique de Genève, where both studied under renowned guitarist Judicaël Perroy, the Daniyah Guitar Duo grew from a shared passion for chamber music into a mature and internationally recognized artistic partnership.

Their repertoire sits at the crossroads of classical tradition and contemporary creation, with a particularly strong connection to South American music running through their artistic identity. They collaborate closely with composers such as Sergio Assad and Florian Colombet, and create their own arrangements, actively expanding the guitar duo repertoire.

The duo has performed at renowned festivals and concert halls across Europe and South America, and gives masterclasses and workshops throughout Europe and Brazil. In 2024, they joined the Knobloch Strings artist family.
