Darebin Creek small bird habitat working bee
Event description
Join us along the Darebin Creek in Bundoora for a pleasant morning helping to care for recently planted indigenous seedlings that will provide habitat for small woodland birds. Activities on the day include planting some additional seedlings, removing environmental weeds and removing tree guards from larger plants to help them thrive.
Come along, connect with nature, and meet like-minded people. All are welcome. No experience needed as our friendly team will provide guidance and equipment. Don’t forget to wear covered shoes and weather appropriate clothing (warm jacket, sun hat etc.) and bring plenty of drinking water. Stay for a cuppa and a chat at the end.
Enter via Greenhills Rd, Bundoora. We’ll be working along the Darebin Creek Trail underneath the Greenhills Rd footbridge.
Please note, the closest toilets are located at Norris Bank Reserve or Bundoora Square (see map).
