Event description

Daring Greatly Live at The Bornemann – A Night of Rock Americana and Country!

Daring Greatly, a heartfelt rock ensemble, came into being in 2014 amidst the vibrant atmosphere of Calgary, Alberta. Founded by the Croome brothers, Patrick and Liam, along with percussionist Brayden Tario, the group's origin story is marked by a profound connection to their Canadian heritage. Following an early journey of exploration, the band's path led them across landscapes before finding their musical haven in the city of San Diego. Over the span of ten transformative years, they've artfully crafted albums that not only embrace their Canadian roots but also intricately weave together the tapestry of American rock and country influences, resulting in a truly unique and captivating soundscape

This potent blend of genres creates an auditory journey that feels both familiar and invigorating—a sonic testament that resonates deeply with all who encounter it. Their remarkable achievement of securing the 2023 San Diego Music Awards' "Song of the Year" distinction for their evocative track "Never A Goodbye" speaks volumes about their soul-stirring compositions and potent lyrical narratives. Furthermore, their nominations for 2024 nominations for "Best Rock Artist" and “Artist of the Year” and again for “Song of the Year” underscore their ability to craft music that resonates on a profound level.

Central to the band's dynamic is the profound fraternal bond between the Croome brothers, whose on-stage chemistry is an enchanting sight to behold. Interchanging as lead vocalists, their voices intertwine flawlessly, bestowing audiences with a captivating and ever-evolving auditory journey. Drummer Brayden Tario, a lifelong confidant of the Croome brothers since their high school days, seamlessly complements their synergy with his rhythmic finesse. His percussive mastery not only anchors the band's rhythm but his harmonious vocals provide an ethereal counterpoint to the brothers' melodies—an extraordinary talent that is a rarity to find. Learn more on the band's website.

Special guest Jackson Gillies opens the show. A 25-year-old independent singer/songwriter/producer residing in Santa Barbara, CA, Jackson’s notables include being featured on a Kenny Loggins compilation album called CaliAmericana ll; placing top 69 on “American Idol,” of which the Facebook audition has over 28 million views.
