Data Collection Disasters: Stories of Resilience and Creativity
Event description
QUT Centre for Decent Work and Industry is pleased to present Data Collection Disasters: Stories of Resilience and Creativity, an insightful panel session suited to HDRs, held at Gardens Point Campus on 18th June.
So, you’ve got your research design, your ethics is approved and you’re ready to collect data, but it doesn’t go according to plan....
What do you do when no-one responds to your super-engaging recruitment flyer, or when only bots answer your survey, or when all your most polite emails are ignored by the organisations or people you really want to interview?
Join us for a fun and frank discussion about common (and not so common) data collection problems. Hear the stories of experienced researchers to learn how they dealt with all these challenges and more. Come for the moral support and leave with some new ideas from our CDWI community.
Please note that this session is in-person only, but if you do require a private zoom link to join, please contact Nicki.hall@qut.edu.au
