Event description

This workshop will be covering two topics for the day.

Topic 1 You Can't Pour from an Empty Cup

In this foundational workshop, participants will be introduced to a holistic framework and a shared language about basic human life needs, motivation, wellbeing, and behaviour.

In this workshop, you will:

  • Explore an evolution of psychology from traditional behaviourism to the more contemporary humanistic and positive psychology.

  • Find out how balanced mental health and wellbeing can be accomplished through developing ‘Cup filling plans’ to identify and meet your basic life needs.

Topic 2 Parent / Educator Toolkit for Behaviour:

Learn new ways of thinking about, responding to, and planning for children's behaviour.

In this workshop, you will explore:

  • Connected relationships with children.

  • Interpreting behavioural indicators to determine unmet needs.

  • Respond thoughtfully to the complexity and ever-evolving nature of a child's social and emotional learning journey.

  • Learn a shared language to explain, respond to, and plan for children's behavioural learning.
