Naarm favourite Mabel returns to Canberra alongside the elusive live hardware project 5RT. Two artists making some of the most interesting, psychedelic and dancefloor-focused electronic music in Australia right now.

Mabel

Known for her work across both visual art and music, Mabel brings a distinctly psychedelic edge to the dancefloor, moving between psytrance, progressive house and minimal techno without settling neatly into any of them.

She has become one of Naarm’s most sought-after DJs and producers, with appearances at Pitch Music & Arts, MODE, Zeerust and A3, alongside European tours featuring sets for Mala Junta, HORS-SOL, HEISSS and Harmony Records. Her productions are just as distinctive: syncopated rhythms, strange vocal fragments and hypnotic grooves released through labels including Step Ball Chain and Nehza Records, as well as her own Doglandiya imprint.

5RT

5RT is an elusive live electronic project built around machines, improvisation and deeply warped club music. Their live sets move through electro, acid, breaks and techno, unfolding less like a conventional DJ set and more like a strange transmission assembled in real time.

Following the release of Close Encounters in 2023 and Inconsistant Report in 2025, 5RT has developed a reputation for unpredictable live performances that are tough, playful and properly weird. Exactly what we want for Day 13.
