    Event description

Join us for the DC Central Kitchen 35th Anniversary Celebration!

Come celebrate with us as we kick off a year-long commemoration of 35 years of fighting hunger and poverty in Washington, DC. This special event will take place on Friday, January 19, 2024 at the Klein Center for Jobs and Justice.

Join us for an insightful discussion of the impact DC Central Kitchen has had over the past 35 years in our city, as we honor some of the dedicated individuals who have made it all possible. Confirmed Presenters Include:

    • Hon. Charles Allen, Ward 6 Councilmember
    • Robert Egger, DC Central Kitchen Founder
    • Thomas Penny, Donohoe Hospitality President
    • Chef José Andrés, DC Central Kitchen Chair Emeritus & World Central Kitchen Founder

You'll have the opportunity to learn more about our work, connect with other members of the DCCK community, and enjoy delicious refreshments prepared by our talented staff.

Transportation/Parking - Due to construction in the neighborhood, street parking is extremely limited. We highly encourage using public transportation or rideshare services. There is paid parking available at the James Creek Marina or in the Colonial Parking garage under our building. Entrances for both parking lots are on 2nd Street SW.
