Eora/Sydney psych-rock five piece Dead Wi†ch are celebrating their new single 'Sunshine' with a secret warehouse party in Sydney's Inner West.

Featuring a femme-forward lineup of visual artists, bands and cabaret dancers, Dead Wi†ch are stoked to return to stages with their first headline show in almost a year at one of Sydney's most iconic and longest running warehouse venues.

'Sunshine' is a fuzz-laden summer love song, rich in the band's signature crunchy guitar sound and lilting vocal harmonies, complete with huge, surf-rock inspired drums. For fans of Ty Segall and BOYTOY, 'Sunshine’ is a barefaced, glistening psych-rock jam about the early days of a new relationship when everything feels hyper colour.

‘Sunshine is about what it feels like when you finally start letting the good stuff in after a long time in the dark. I’d been through a big heartbreak and tucked myself away, working through it, and Sunshine is about the early days of new love where everything feels golden. I’d been strumming an acoustic version of this song for ages and the girls ran with it and turned it into this unreal melodic surf-inspired jam, its definitely one of our favourites to play live’

- Jaimee Taylor-Nielsen, lead vocalist.

The new single follows on from the band's self-titled debut EP featuring tracks ‘15 Dennies’, ‘Starfucker’ & ‘La Niña’ which received big love from triple j, triple j unearthed, FBi Radio, 2SER, 4ZZZ and racked up 150K+ Spotify streams collectively.

'Sunshine' was recorded at Golden Retriever Studios in Marrickville, produced & mixed by Wade Keighran, and mastered by Nick Franklin.
