Come learn about Deaf culture and basic Auslan from special guest facilitator Karthik (he/him)!
✨Karthik is a third culture individual with multiple, intersectional identities, who currently lives in Naarm. He is a multi-disciplinary educator who is passionate about the empowerment of people, particularly Deaf and Hard of hearing people or those with intersectionality.

Event Rundown
- Session 1 - 2:30pm-4pm
- Karthik will share his lived experience as a Deaf QTIBIPOC person, Q&A discussion
- 4pm-4:30pm Break
- Session 2 - 4:30pm-6pm
- Interactive session on Auslan basics & Deaf culture
Location Accessibility
- Located on level 4, Ross House Association. 3-minute walk from Flinders St train station
- Venue is wheelchair accessible
- Gender neutral & wheelchair accessible bathrooms onsite
- Masks are encouraged. There will be masks and air purifiers at the event
‼️While this is a free event, there is limited capacity so please RSVP! Tickets require a deposit of $10 which will be refunded after attending the event
