Event description

In this event, the group will be monitoring the water in the Deakin wetlands and Waurn Ponds creek. Meet us at the Deakin Waurn Ponds Student Central at 2pm. If you have gum boots and are comfortable waiding into the wetlands then please bring them with you along with suitable clothing, a hat and a water bottle.

Deakin Waterwatch is a partnership between Deakin University and the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority (CCMA) as part of their 'Waterwatch' water monitoring program focused on monitoring waterway conditions, environmental education and awareness. It brings together schools, community, landcare groups, landowners, councils, water managers and individuals to test the quality of their local stream or waterway so that action can be taken to maintain or improve the water quality.
