Death Cafe ~ Grafton
Heart & Soul Wholefood Cafe
grafton, australia
Event description
“Who wants to talk about a taboo subject?”
If you would appreciate the freedom to explore a forbidden topic, perhaps it’s time you attend a Death Café.
At a Death Cafe people gather to eat cake, drink tea/coffee and discuss death.
This event is free, open to all and a safe space to share all things related to death. Engage in the conversations taking place or simply listen to the musings of others.
There is no speaker, no agenda, no selling of anything. The concept is plain and simple: a place for people to express their ideas and/or share their experiences about death without ridicule or judgement.
From an article on "The Death Network":
“One of the most beautiful things about a Death Cafe is its inclusivity. People from all walks of life attend, bringing with them different perspectives, experiences, and questions about mortality. Whether you’ve lost a loved one, are facing a terminal illness, or are simply curious about what it means to live knowing that death is inevitable, you’ll find a welcoming space where your thoughts and feelings are honored.”
Hosts are keen to bring the Death Cafe experience to The Clarence Valley after running monthly death cafes on the Coffs Coast over the past year.
Hosts are: Rani Foreman from InnerBloom Transitions & Lauren from Big Questions, Little Hearts.
