Let’s Talk About the One Thing We All Have in Common – Death.

Are you curious about what really happens when we die and how we support those we love through loss? We believe talking about death might actually help us live better lives.

Join us for an open-hearted evening of curiosity, connection, and conversation over a relaxed drink. This community event brings together people who are passionate about shifting how we approach death, dying, and bereavement, in our families, communities, and across Australia.

You'll meet:

Death doulas, palliative care workers, funeral directors, social workers, therapists, and more,
People who’ve experienced the loss of a loved one and want to help others navigate it.
Locals who are just curious and ready to explore the big questions in life and death.

Together we’ll share stories, ideas, and practical wisdom in a welcoming, supportive space. No pressure. No taboos. Just real talk – with a twist of humour and humanity.

Whether you’re planning ahead, grieving someone you love, or simply dying to know, this event is for you.

What: Dying to Know – Death Over Drinks

When: Tuesday, October 14th, 5pm for 5:30pm - 7:00pm

Where: Grainfed Brewing Company, 52 Young Rd, Newcastle

Cost: $20 including a welcome drink and house made pizza
