Event description

The Southern Vales Compassionate Communities invite you to a night of entertainment at our first ever Death Over Dinner.  Bring your own drinks (alcohol for personal consumption only, no onsite license) and nibbles.  Tea and coffee will be available for a gold coin donation. Take this wonderful opportunity to watch this unique storytelling musical performed by Jodie Atkinson, a 2023 Fringe Festival Debut Award Winner, for free.  Jodie will be available for questions after the show.  There will be fundraising activities so bring your gold coins to take part in the fun and know that you will be assisting the Southern Vales Compassionate Communities to raise funds for future events.

This event is gratefully supported by local DJ, musician and sound technician Leah Tait Music

About Jodie Atkinson

Since 1991, Jodie has found her home in Adelaide, where she has nurtured and raised her family. Following a profound personal loss, she became acutely aware of her own lack of preparedness to face grief.

This was largely due to society’s reluctance to openly discuss the topic of grief.

Driven by a deep passion to aid individuals dealing with grief, Jodie wrote a book on the subject.

Moreover, she pursued certification in the very program that had aided her in navigating her own loss, all with the intention of extending that assistance to others. Watch the video below to hear what people say about her performance of Have You Met My Grief?
