Death Warmed Up, by Georgia Banks
Event description
I don’t know about you but I feel like DEATH WARMED UP
An immersive performance and dinner event where attendees are invited into the farce: what would it be like if funerals were treated with the same paparazzi frenzy as other rites of passage?
Death Warmed Up sits within this world; a TV show with a focus on the food that is being served at celebrity funerals. This performed episode is about the funeral of Georgia Banks, C-List reality TV star of Remains To Be Seen fame.
In her first theatrical live work, Death Warmed Up, Banks is staging an immersive dinner theatre event, which places audiences on the set of a fictitious, live-taped reality television show. Audiences are invited to join Banks for dinner and a show, where they will cross the threshold into the world of Reality TV.
Death Warmed Up premieres alongside Banks’ major survey exhibition Villain Edit at Platform Arts, Geelong, offering regional audiences the opportunity to see Banks’ remarkable works together for the first time.
