Chef Star Maye With Café Momentum
Join us for our final Simmer installment of 2023! This chef pop-up series brings chefs, writers and educators together for interactive experiences that take us a bit deeper — to tell the stories behind the food and the people who grow, cook and share it.
This winter, we’re teaming up Chef Star Maye, who was recently named Culinary Director at Café Momentum Nashville. A team of students from Café Momentum’s culinary training program will put their skills to the test through the creation of an intimate, multi-course dinner. Chef Star, formerly of Anzie Blue and recent winner of the Food Network’s hit TV show “Chopped,” will lead the team in developing and preparing an innovative meal.
The evening will celebrate the collective work that seeks to transform the food system and the lives of those who participate in it. This Simmer offers an opportunity for two poverty-disrupting organizations to come together for an unforgettable night.
Funds raised from this dinner help support both The Nashville Food Project and Café Momentum. Tickets are limited and available for $150 each. This is a 21 and up event. A portion of all ticket sales are tax deductible.
