More Information:
"The first thing that hit me was his voice - it's got that Roy Orbison kind of quality to it - it really grabbed me." Tony Brown [Producer Vince Gill, Steve Earle, Lyle Lovett]
Dee White returns to Australia in January 2027 to headline his long-awaited return after supporting Molly Tuttle in 2019.
The Alabama-born singer-songwriter will bring his outrageously good vocal prowess to this classic country, bluegrass, and Americana headline tour. He cannot wait to play again for Australian audiences, who he remembers fondly as "great fun, great people" and "they really know their classic country".
Raised in Slapout, Alabama, White draws deeply from the sounds that came before him, citing influences such as Hank Williams, Gene Watson, Vern Gosdin, and Charlie Rich. A collector of vintage guitars and a devoted student of earlier generations, he sees music as something to preserve and pass on.
Encouraged early by legendary producer and label executive Harold Shedd [who guided Alabama, Reba McEntire, and Shania Twain through decades of hits], White arrived in Nashville as a teenager. Shedd’s mentorship helped connect him with key collaborators, including producer Dan Auerbach, and set the foundation for his 2019 debut, "Southern Gentleman". He then supported the album on high-profile tours opening for Alan Jackson, Alison Krauss, and Ashley McBryde.
His 2025 second album, "Heart Talkin'", produced by Tony Brown, was recorded live with elite Nashville musicians and showcases his boundless vocals, detailed songwriting, and Southern storytelling. Since then, White has been invited to the Grand Ole Opry on numerous occasions, performed at AmericanaFest and the Bluebird Café, and built a following through his “Dee @ Dee’s” residency in Madison, Tennessee.
In 2026, he released “Green River Rye,” an acoustic song later reimagined with an Irish folk arrangement. Looking ahead, White will also return to Europe in early 2027, carrying his real country music to new audiences.
Don't miss out on Dee, a devoted American country music aficionado; limited tickets will sell out quickly.
