A Wandering Peace - a contact Improvisation Dance workshop with Eamonn O'Flaherty

Event description

A Wandering Peace - Contact Improv Dance Workshop with Eamonn O’Flaherty

I’m delighted to be visiting Bermagui once again and with Alexa’s help holding a large, deeply informing and engaging CI workshop.

The workshop will serve as an introduction to the form with the guiding topic being the needs met through the practice; for grounding, peace, connection, self-expression and human community.

We’ll be practicing forms, elements and pathways in the physical, and observing how that affects our internal landscapes.

About the Form

Contact Improv (CI) is a study in relationship to others, and the dance is a chance to hone that with skill, movement and touch.

With no set steps and no set leader, participants have the challenge and opportunity of practicing the widest possible range of dance moves, and to develop skills around presence, leading, following, fitness and flexibility.

It's an utterly joyous practice, and if you'd like to have a fun experience which sparks great changes in your life, come along.
