Event description

Deep Collaboration Webinar – NAIDOC Week Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up!

Building on the success of the January 26th webinar, CFI and Deep Collaboration is offering another conversation-based webinar to highlight how Deep Collaboration can be used to respond to the theme of NAIDOC Week 2022. Convened by Mark Yettica-Paulson, Nikki Moodie, Carolyn Curtis and Anna Powell.

Getting Up, Standing Up, and Showing Up can take many forms…

At CFI we see two dimensions of this theme; the first is a call to action for First Nations people to be more visible in their support and activism; the second is an appeal for allies to be more demonstrable in their support. These two dimensions are important and necessary for the progression of the rights agenda and other aspirations for First Nations in Australia. There is a necessary combination of active agency of First Nations and the allyship from others to create changes toward Australia being a more equitable and just society.

Come along to hear how Deep Collaboration can be used to respond to the theme of NAIDOC Week 2022 – Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! We are seeking to clarify, along with others, that Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June) is to celebrate the relationship between us and NAIDOC week (3-10 July 2022) is a week to celebrate the cultures of First Peoples.
