Deep Dive Floor
A contemporary dance workshop focused on floor based movement techniques.
This 2 hours workshop is aimed towards training/trained dancers and movers that are eager to sharpen their practise with floor-work (including acro/tumble/break inspired manoeuvres). You may be advanced, and want to revisit and workshop the floor in a group context. You may be experienced, but want to level up on skills not yet attempted. The content involves revisiting foundational floor thoughts, workshopping specific ideas, breaking down pathways across the room, and evolving with more advanced phrase work.
What to expect:
- floor and tumble focused warm-up, with special attention on wrists, shoulders, weight-bearing with arms and hand balance
- workshopping stationary pathways + shapes
- breaking down travelling pathways and sequences
What to bring:
- shoulder covering and pants recommended
- water bottle
- knee pads if you would like to use them
