Deepening into to IFS-Oriented Journaling

Event description

In this 4 session workshop series, we will add new processes to your IFS-Journalling practice.

We explore:

  • the use of prompts and deepening questions
  • coming into a clearer space - allowing self-energy to emerge through written & symbolic journalling
  • working with polarisations and polarities (and yes, they are different)

You will need an understanding of the basics of IFS to take part in this course, for example, you might have attended an introductory IFS workshop, online course, or worked with an IFS therapist or coach. If you haven't done journaling with parts, you might enjoy taking this course.

We will start with simple guided journaling processes, then work towards some deeper dives, building both safety in the group and confidence with your personal journalling experience.

All you need to bring a pen, colouring pencils & paper plus the desire to keep some kind of journal.

My dream is that by the end of the course you will feel confident that journal writing can be an ongoing companion in your IFS journey. By the end of the course, you will have learned a range of processes to keep your journalling alive and fresh.

This is a 'journal-writing space' and is not offering coaching or therapy. In joining these sessions you are making your own personal assessment that you can take emotional care of yourself during the time we are together and, if needed, access appropriate informal or formal support after the session.

The workshops will start on Tuesday, 20th April at 12pm-1pm (AEST) every week for 4 weeks.

Each workshop will be for one hour and the series will run for 4 weeks with a contribution of $AU100. We will meet on Zoom.

Leona is an experienced journal writing facilitator and psychotherapist. She has trained with The Therapeutic Writing Institute in journal writing and is also Level 3 trained in Internal Family Systems.

Leona's journal writing group is my favourite hour in the week, a time when I can deeply tune into myself, while being held in a circle of safety. G.M, Sydney.

Leona holds a safe, nurturing and engaging space that balances the introspection of journaling with the process of sharing in the group. I felt enriched by the experience. Thanks Leona 🙏😊 C.S. Sydney.

Journalling with Leona is a time of self exploration without a judgement, agenda or attachment to any of the written outcomes. This journalling creates an unfiltered connection to inner thoughts and feelings, which are fully welcomed and gently guided by a well-planned session structure. LdT, Gold Coast
