Event description

Can you imagine a quick and easy way to express yourself, work intuitively, have fun and gather insight into yourself without all the mess of other mediums?

Have you wanted to be creative but think you need some special skills, techniques or gifts?

This workshop will dispel all those myths and empower you to look differently at creativity and will also invite you to think about how you might use it with others that you work with.

SoulCollage® is a well resourced modality developed by American psychotherapist, Seena B. Frost. The SoulCollage® provides an accessibile modality with its intuitive and easy way of working with pre-existing images (collage) that you choose and arrange together to make your own card or set of cards that express a part of you. SoulCollage® can speak of the present moment and will continue to be a resource for you into the future. It partners well with other modalities or frameworks you might be using for yourself or clients. There is a particularly useful method of journalling with this system that is unique and powerful.

In this workshop you will be provided with information, guidance and support to experience this for yourself and consider how you might use it with individual clients or groups. You will need to provide your own materials. A materials list is included below.

What to Expect

  • An experiential workshop focused on deepening self-reflection skills using the creative modality of SoulCollage®.
  • Insights into how SoulCollage® can be integrated into your personal or professional practice.
  • Guidance and support to experience the modality firsthand and consider its use with individual clients or groups.
  • Create personalised cards that express parts of yourself and serve as long-term resources for self-reflection.

Learning Outcomes

  • Explore the unique journaling method associated with SoulCollage® for deeper insights.
  • Discover how SoulCollage® can complement other therapeutic modalities or frameworks.
  • Develop practical skills to facilitate SoulCollage® in individual or group settings.
  • Gain inspiration and tools to encourage creativity and self-expression in others.

“There was a period of time when I would come home from work and just dive into making a card and I found that the stress of the day would drop away as I became fully immersed in looking at and choosing images, cutting them out and arranging them. Even if I only spent 10-15 minutes it felt very cathartic and I always had a better understanding of what was going on in me. I look forward to using it with my clients.”

(Sophia, Counsellor, Melbourne)

This workshop is suitable for artists, creative arts therapists, allied health professionals, community artists and educators.
