Indie TTRPG One-Shot: Definitely Wizards (18+)
Event description
Love roleplaying games but ready to try something other than D&D?
Ready for a dose of silly, magical fun?
Join Worlds 4 All for a one-shot of Definitely Wizards!
Definitely Wizards is an indie tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) that leans into the ridiculousness of magical law and norms: what if only certain types of magic users were allowed to practice, and you had to "fake it til you make it?!" This single session adventure, also known as a "one shot," has you working together as a team of secret "wild magic" users who are trying to earn their magical license by completing the unpredictable Wizard Certification Practical Exam. You'll puzzle your way through three silly challenges, all while trying (and likely failing) to use your innate magic in subtle ways so as not to reveal your secret. There are six player spots available for adults ages 18 and older, and we love to play with people of all experience levels, even if you're brand new to TTRPGs! You can sign-up on your own and get to meet new people or buy a few tickets and come with your friends. We will provide everything you need to play, from dice to character sheets, and explain all of the rules as we go.
At Worlds 4 All, we strive to make every gaming table a safer and more inclusive space for all players. We use a variety of safety tools, including a Session Zero form and x-cards, to set clear boundaries, preview game themes, and accommodate accessibility needs.
The Castle is a restaurant, bar, and community event hub specializing in board games. Located at 140 Rantoul Street in Beverly, MA (though the main entrance is on Railroad Ave), their space is fully ADA compliant and features 3 gender-neutral restrooms. Food and drink will be available for purchase, and public parking is available on surrounding streets (meters free after 8pm) and the nearby Beverly Depot Parking Garage. We strongly encourage players to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to our 6:30 p.m. start to allow time for parking, ordering dinner, and selecting your character.
