Delivering Ivanhoe Park Upgrades - Pop Up 1
Event description
Ivanhoe Park is a well-loved open space that includes a neighbourhood playground, BBQ facilities, seniors exercise area, public toilet, extensive plantings, an oval and cricket nets. Council is going to deliver upgrades to Ivanhoe Park as part of the Ivanhoe Sports Precinct Plan and the Banyule Youth Space Plan. We heard from community during the development of these plans and are now ready to bring them to life.
Pop up at the playground:
A pop up engagement with council officers will be set up near the playground. You will have the opportunity to discuss the upgrades for Ivanhoe Park, share your thoughts about the draft Landscape Plan and let us know what kind of youth space would work best at Ivanhoe Park.
Site walk through the park:
We will be taking participants on a site walk to discuss the draft Landscape Plan and your stories of the park. The site walk will be on a sealed path, take approx. 30min and covers 550m return.
The site walk will:
A - Depart the playground pop up at approx. 11:15am
B - Pause near the Rose Garden to discuss the future public toilet location
C - Pause near the existing public toilet to discuss safety in the park
D - Pause near the gardenbeds to discuss the renovated open space area and youth space
Return to the playground pop up
Please note: the site walk is subject to weather and one council officer will stay at the playground pop up during the site walk.
Can't attend the event in person? There will be another pop up on Sunday 15 June, 11am. Or, share your thoughts through an online survey on Shaping Banyule by 25 June.
