    Event description

Conversations about dementia are always challenging. For culturally and linguistically diverse communities this may become even more challenging when cultural considerations are present.

Come along to this FREE community information session delivered by Ian Thompson, the Manager of the federally funded Partners in Culturally Appropriate Care program (PICAC) in Western Australia to better understand dementia, how to talk about it and how best to cope with its realities.

    Ian will cover:

    • What is dementia?
    • What are the symptoms of dementia?
    • How might it feel living with dementia?
    • How best to support family and loved ones?
    • What can you do to support someone with dementia?
    • Dementia through a CaLD lens – the cultural stuff
    • Who can help?

Select your preferred location and time from the two sessions available.
